04 April 2008 - Just in time for the Spring Pancake Breakfast, I finally have the page updated again. I will make a special effort this year to update the site once a month after our monthly OCABA meetings and get the goings on at the airport reported to everyone. We had a very well attended Orange County Airport Commision meeting this past month, and look forward to having new members attending our OCABA meetings this year. Also Ray Matthews and I have taken and passed our Instrument written this past week, and look forward to completing our training later on this year. We are already into planning our support for the Culpeper Airfest in August, come out and lend us a hand!! That's it for now I will have more to say after our meeting tomorrow. - Jerry

09 September 2007 - I finally got a chance to update the page just in time for the fall pancake breakfast. I am hoping to update the pancake page, and also provide a page for Peggy Miles, the airport manager. -Jerry

11 August 2007 - Ray and I presented a check for $200 to SkyDive Orange. We presented the check to Laura the treasurer of SkyDive Orange. Later on I took an awesome flight in the Twin Otter with Vince, and actually got to do 2 takeoffs and landings!! What a great ride! -Jerry

10 July 2007 - We successfully raised $200 towards the SkyDive Orange Hangar fund during their flea market this past Saturday. They raised approximately $2000. Congratulations SkyDive Orange!! -Jerry

01 April 2007 - I finally go around to updating the site and getting a few more items up and running. I have been busy the last few weeks with various projects. Hubert Compton and I managed to put up the new OCABA Air Band Receiver System. Check out the photos on the projects page. Let me know what you think about the site. I hope to have everything up to date by the next OCABA meeting on 7 April 2007. Let me know what you think about the OCABA logo I came up with on the pages. You can see it is similar to the Orange County Airport logo that was developed last year. The OCABA logo is supposed to depict how our group works with all the community of users at the airport. 21 March 2007 - Ray Matthews and I attended the kickoff meeting for the design of the new Orange County Airport passenger terminal. This new terminal will house the airport operations staff, pilot lounge and flight planning areas, have a large conference room and vending machine/break area, and large passenger lounge. The Orange County Economic Development department will also be housed in the new terminal. See the projects page for details. Ray and I also visited Orange County High School to check up on how the scholarship applications were coming along. Unfortunately there were no applications at this point, but the principal assured us that the word would get out prior to our 1 April 2007 deadline. -Jerry
